Is this version remastered or is it from the original source?
This is being repressed by candelight/spinefarm and will be available in the winter.
Anyone have a clue what amounts they usually make these? They seem to sell fast.
no, this is the candlelight/spinefarm pressing not the back on black
Rocky Basilisk
Repress from Candlelight. Will be available on 9.11.2018 on blue vinyl.
Anyone have a copy for a reasonable price please pm me. No reason for these to be at such a high price already.
Or maybe its just because you dont know when next they are being repressed. I really doubt the color has nothing to do with it.
don´t worry, reissue on 9. november 2018 available now at EMP e-shop, check it - pre-order now. good luck

Do you ever get the feeling someone is having their friend buy these for 150 bucks to drive up the value? I paid 20 bucks for this and two months later it's going for triple digits because it's blue. Fucking stupid
This one needs a repress already. I cannot believe how quickly it disappeared.
It's on the way, should be ready in November, pre-orders are up on the web via different distros
Couldn't agree more. I eagerly await this album for a good price and not a shitty repress.I know its OOP but the prices listed here and on eBay are ridiculous.
Quality pressing for sure. Little quieter than i would like. As compared to the orriginal candle light vinyl version this one is more muffled but has more clarity. Hearing the bass guitar in parts I never heard before. All around a great deal. Keep in mind I am used to an original cassete from century black and the first vinyl press from candle light. Thats what i am comparing this new pressing too. Its a win though! Plus the original did not have that cool inner sleeve.
Sound of vinyl is clean and up to scratch.. but is n't breathtaking. Compared to the CD this the vinyl version has sounds a little more interesting and a bit live. But the big differences there. What is the special vinyl mastering - is anyone's guess. But the pirate tape (Angel's Of Hell Records https://www.discogs.com/Emperor-In-The-Nightside-Eclipse/release/5405563) sounds better than CD and better this vinyl! The designers obviously chose the color vinyl to match the cover, but it looks all weird. Would be better if it was splatter. It's bad that there is no black version, but given the vinyl renaissance, it will probably be released to make a money
So basically they've got the sound right but they've ruined it by printing the album artwork in the wrong bloody colour just like BoB did?Great job, lads.
The colours are indentical to the first press LP i had. I compared them side by side before selling my first press. The only difference was that moon is slightly less sharp on the new press and back side picture has a very slight blur filter. Otherwise it's all spot on.
Phallozs Dwarfs
does this come with a download code at all? just curious to know so i can buy the cd as well.
because i collect both cd's and records anyways. the cd would eventually end up in my collection anyways even if i bought a vinyl copy. thanks for the reply.
Nope. Why would you buy the CD and not just rip the vinyl?
Finally!!!! This is light years beyond the Back on Black versions. There's so much more clarity and detail that was severely missing from those. Will wind up replacing my other BoB pressings. Whatever the source material they used here, it's legit. Buy with confidence.
Sounds great, sounds like a studio remastering of old cassettes, feels raw, is loud but not distorting at high levels, cover is pressed nicely recommended.
I was wondering the same thing. Can anyone confirm? I have wanted this on vinyl for a long time but refuse to get the back on black version due to the sound quality issues.
I purchased this today and I think it sounds pretty damn good. No issues with surface noise and doesn't sound flat
Can anyone comment on the quality of this pressing? Is it any different than the Back on Black pressings?
It's 180g. Sounds fantastic. That being said, I haven't heard the Back On Black pressing so I have no comparison. But just going by ear it sounds awesome
I can read just fine. Keep beating that Straw Man and employing subterfuge to avoid the fact that you're a moron.
Trumpduck Hey, you're the one who thinks the "original source tapes" are hi-res digital files, not me.Sounds like you need a clue in audio recording comprehension there, chief. Still can't read I see. Or comprehend the words. Keep trying "chief."
Trumpduck This was recorded in analog; there is no way the original source tapes would be high-res digital files back in 1993. All you bedroom audio engineers can calm down; for an album that was purposely recorded to sound like shit, this pressing is actually quality. I think you could use a lesson in reading comprehension. Thanks for your "insight."

It sounds alot better to me. I bought that back on black version and it was the worst sounding record i have ever heard.Volume up and down, sometimes so loud it distorted. Plus this version does not have those pointless bonus tracks. Good tracks but should not be on a classic like this. I would go with this version.
It literally just came out today 1/13. Mine just arrived but I haven't spun it yet. However, it's remastered for vinyl specifically from the original source tapes (whatever those are, likely high-res digital files). The Back On Black one is 100% a rip from the CD, like everything they release. YMMV if you care.
