E MC is a 1979 studio album by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder. It has been billed as the first electronic live-to-digital album. The album's title track peaked at number 4 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. He described it as. Giorgio Moroder - E MC2 1979 Title Song From The Album Hope You Enjoy MC Giorgio Moroder album. Singles from E MC. The only non-live elements to the album were the vocals by Giorgio and the 2nd and 3rd part harmonies. To help with the overwhelming, ambitionous task of recording a live-to-digital album, Harold Faltermeyer was called in to programme the majority of instruments, computers and synths and would occasionally play on some songs. Giorgio Moroder wasn't the first person to play electronic dance music - Kraftwerk had a synthesizer-oriented sound in the early '70s, and its electro-beats paved the way for a lot of the hip-hop, synth-pop, techno, industrial noise, house, and Hi-NRG that came in the '80s and '90s. But even though Moroder didn't invent electronic dance music single-handedly, he was among the first people to recognize its possibilities. E MC2 - Giorgio Moroder. great ant
Giorgione non delude mai - verrete catapultati Musica elettronica degli anni 80 . e poi la copertina da sola vale l'acquisto ;-)
Stupid question -- but who actually sang the vocals for Baby Blue and If You Weren't Afraid? I seem to find all sorts of credits (even tea and coffee) -- but not the vocals. Donna Summer? Giorgio himself (fed through a vocoder or pitch shift perhaps?)
It was Giorgio, but it was pitched up. Go on YouTube and type in Giorgio Moroder Promo Video and you can see him sing it. Very fun stuff!
